It was the summer for the Millennium Trilogy. Read Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Girl Who Played with Fire & Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest. Lisbeth is one unique character. Terrific expose on social ills & gender prejudices of society through lens of horrific violence, overt sexuality & nasty characters. Don't know an American author could have written the series. Gripping stuff that filled my summer thirst for escapism.
